Leeds Academy For Hairdressing & Barbering (LAFHAB)
Lafhab believes that a good education is the passport to future success, essential elements of a good education are high quality teaching, positive attitude from learners, excellent attendance and a strong partnership between industry and the Academy. Alongside this, LAFHAB offer an inspirational and innovative new learning environment.
L’Oreal Professionel offers exclusive education courses, the most innovative products, fantastic artistic opportunities, business building initiatives and most importantly, a commitment to being partners with salons. L’Oreal Professional products are used in our Salon.
The Hairdressing Council believes in the professionalism and passion of hairdressing and its campaign is to raise standards, making the industry self regulated. Our senior stylists are state-registered hairdressers through the Council.
Royal British Legion
The Royal British Legion is the UK’s leading charity providing financial, social and emotional support to those who have served or who are currently serving in the British Armed Forces, and their dependants.
Help For Heroes
A British charity launched in 2007 to help provide better facilities for wounded British servicemen and women. H4H raised £100 million pounds in its first four years, and continues to raise funds through challenges, events and activities.
Good Training Guide
The Good Training Guide helps potential trainees, parents and salon owners make an informed choice about the best training establishments in their area. Information is provided on hairdressing training whatever the level of training required.
Habia is the government-appointed sector skills body and industry authority for hair, beauty, nails, spa therapy, barbering and African type hair. Habia’s role is to create the standards that form the basis of all qualifications in hair and beauty, as well as industry codes of practice. For salons, Habia assists with complex legislation such as health & safety and employment law. Our Academy is a Habia Member School.
VTCT (Vocational Training Charitable Trust)
VTCT is the specialist Government-approved awarding body for the hairdressing and beauty sector, offering National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs), Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs). VTCT has been in existence for over forty years and has been at the forefront of developing the vocational system of qualifications in the UK. Our Academy is fully accredited with VTCT.
