Leeds Academy For Hairdressing And Barbering (LAFHAB) was set up in 2011 with a mission to provide further education with high quality hairdressing and barbering training. They continue to offer part time and full time education to learners with more in-depth, personal and completely flexible level of training that was not available anywhere else.
Since then, we have had hundreds of people qualify, and we are continually amazed by the success stories we hear. Many of our students have gone on to open their own business. Some are working in film & TV and others have started a new life abroad with their internationally-recognised qualifications.
We endeavour to train hairdressers and barbers to a high standard, using the latest skills and techniques in hairdressing and barbering through our courses, while providing flexibility and a training environment that makes everyone feel welcome.
In recognition of the quality of training, LAFHAB is a L’Oréal Academy and we have also been awarded the status of ‘WAHL Centre of Excellence’ and we continue to host WAHL seminars throughout the year with Simon Shaw and members of the WAHL Artistic Team.
We have also recently collaborated with Ashley Marie to offer hair extension training.
LAFHAB Academy is accredited by VTCT, this means that we deliver NVQ Hairdressing & Barbering qualifications and training that is to industry standards. These are recognised by employers throughout the UK and internationally.
In addition the NVQs, we also offer introductory and refresher courses.
